What is your favorite room in this charmer???
What mother doesn’t like to receive flowers for Mother’s Day???? We know we love the smell and look of a fresh bouquet of flowers, and nothing says Spring more than some fresh florals for your home. Today we have some ideas on how to make a special arrangement for the Moms in your life. We like to mix real and faux florals to give some variations to the arrangements, and when the real ones die, you still have the faux steams. Just mix in a few more real ones to give it a fresh look! If you buy good faux florals, sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. Look at the following pictures and see if you can guess which ones are faux.
We mixed in some faux florals here from Color in Greenhills.
Here’s a variety of stems from Color as well as The Linen Duck in Colombia. This fabulous vase is from Linen Duck also!
This vase is a plain glass vase we painted with gold leaf paint. It really dresses up the arrangement. Set it out on a tray with a candle and coasters. This is one of our favorite candles from Spruce!
This fun pop of color with the navy and blue container really says Spring. We got this for a steal at TJ Maxx!
What do you think of mixing faux with fresh florals???
We have not one but two, fully furnished staging projects we recently completed we’d like to share with you today. These homes are polar opposites but both beautiful and we feel the staging really fit the home’s personalities! This first home is a 1950’s ranch house in West Meade. This house has tremendous character and the location can’t be beat! See below for pictures and follow the link if your interested in checking it out in person.

This next home is a new construction home in the North Charlotte neighborhood. This house went under contract the day after we staged it so they didn’t even have time for professional pictures!! Take a look at the pictures we have and check out the link for more info on the house and the builders.
What do you think of these two very different, but very beautiful homes?
The weather is warming up and we are anxiously anticipating all the beautiful spring nights we will be spending out on our patios with family and friends. With this time of year, comes lots of Spring cleaning and our patio furniture is no exception. The cushions are dingy, and often the furniture gets super worn and it may be time to look for some new pieces. With that, brings us to our post today. Outdoor patio chairs. Now days, there are so many options for some fun chairs that are both gorgeous and sturdy enough to handle all the elements Spring and Summer may have in store. Check out some of our favorite finds and let us know which of these you can see yourself in this season!

Which room is your favorite?
Until recently most of our stages have leaned towards the more traditional decor. Flowers, elegant accessories, and plush furniture have always been favorites of ours. However, in our latest model home, we went with a more modern decor. Several years ago, Mad Men really brought back that mid century modern look and turned it more mainstream. With the clean lines and rich colors, it’s hard to resist falling in love with some of these pieces. We had a blast staging this model home and we are looking forward to expanding our modern pieces even more in the future. Take a look at this home in Charlotte Park and let us know what you think!
What do you think of the more modern decor?
It can be difficult to keep up with all the hot new areas in and around Nashville, but one area in particular is getting a lot of buzz these days. It’s the Charlotte Park area, located in between Sylvan Park and the Nations. This revitalized, must see neighborhood is convenient to downtown and the interstate, as well as currently being a great bang for your buck. With new builds popping up all over the place, this builder wanted to make their new homes stand out and we were more than happy to help them out! Take a look at one of these gorgeous new builds The Kingston Group created in this up and coming neighborhood and stay tuned next week to see more. Take it from us, if you are looking for a new home in this area, be fast…. this one we staged last week is under contract already. With a 100 new residents moving to Nashville each day, the competition is fierce in the real estate market, and you don’t want to miss out on your next home. Check out this area while your looking, you’ll be glad you did!
UNDER CONTRACT– 6370 Ivy Street #3
Last week was super busy with the install of not one, but two beautiful new builds in the Charlotte Park area of Nashville…. more on those later in the week. One huge project we worked on was the restoring of these four lovely chairs we snagged for just $5/piece!!! Now we know not everyone would see these for what they once were, but when we spotted them we knew we had to have them. Here’s a before picture of the chairs….
Worn out finishing and even more worn faux leather seating had most people passing these up but not us!! We love the challenge…..and a challenge they were. We removed the seats and then it was time to work on the wood. The stain was seriously set in and it took several days and lots of work to get this finish off with the orbital sander.
Here’s the one we use.
Once we took all the stain off, it took another sanding with a medium grade sandpaper, and then another sanding with a fine grain. Then we could finally see the beauty these once were. Now it was time to put the stain on.
We used a one coat Rustoleum stain in Cognac to give these chairs a rich color that set in an hour. Then we put the final coat of a semi gloss clear polyurethane . Shew!!! Once those were finished we recovered the chairs in deep velvety green that just begs to be sat on. Once we reattached the seats to the chairs we were in love with how they turned out!!
Brought back to their old glory we will be using these beauties time and time again. What do you think of our restoration project??
We missed posting yesterday but we think you’ll see why when we share all the fun upcoming projects we have been working on! Today we want to share a project we finished up last week for a client who recently moved to town. She has a lot of items still in their old house, but had a few personal things she wanted showcased on her built in bookshelves. Many people struggle with placements on bookshelves but never fear, we can help!!! By rearranging and grouping similar items we can really feature existing pieces or fill in with some fun new treasures we pick up from our vendors. Here’s few before and afters of our latest work…
Here we were able to rearrange the homeowner’s existing pieces to make the shelving look more symmetrical.
Next we took her almost empty shelving and added some new unique, yet personal pieces. Some were the homeowners, and some were purchased. The custom ordered books make it extra special and personalized for the family.
We’d love to work with you!!!! Let us know if you need help showcasing your unique pieces to make your shelving really stand out in your home!
